Agenda/Schedule
There is no agenda, plan or schedule on retreat. The retreat leader will be asking for guidance from his higher self in every moment and leading the retreat from that place, the void. This is likely different from any retreat you have experienced in the past.

What Happens on the Retreat
On most days, the bulk of our day will be in nature in specific Sacred Site vortexes. On these days, the group will go out into nature so that participants can commune individually directly with nature. The retreat leader will also be providing daily spiritual teachings, healing, exercises, activities and transmissions based on awakening, unconditional love, truth, authentic self-expression, inner guidance, clarity, non-dual reality, and other teachings from the east and west. He has no plan in advance for what to do in any given moment or what to teach on any given retreat. He will be guided by spirit according to what is present for the group, in the moment. Accordingly, the possibilities for what will be taught are broad and vast. We will also spend some time at the retreat center (The Retreat House) in leisure and integration time as well as for teachings and some meals.

Nature Experience
On most days, the bulk of our day will be in nature in specific Sacred Site vortexes. These sites can have various levels of physical difficulty and be a variety of topography and climates including but not limited to lakes, rivers, streams, meadows, mountains, hiking trails, caves, lava tubes, waterfalls, oceans, volcanos, deserts, lava, or other locations. Please plan accordingly. You will have ample time to connect with and meditate with the land in your own unique ways.

Physical Ability
While we do not typically go on long hikes or activities that are physically demanding, some Sacred Sites do require some hiking and physical exertion to reach and enjoy. If you have any physical limitations, remember to note them on your Retreat Registration Form and mention your concerns to the Retreat Manager upon arrival so we can share with you possible adaptations. There are almost always other options and adaptations if we know about your needs, concerns and limitations. Please never push your limits and always take responsibility for your safety.

Safety
While we will not be venturing to attitudes that most experts consider dangerous, Mount Shasta is a high alpine mountain. As such it is naturally hazardous and requires your attention and consciousness to safety. Please read up on your own about how to stay safe in the mountains and always do so.

Retreat Facility
We typically hold the retreat in a comfortable facility, retreat center or private home or estate. We will spend some time at the retreat center/home in leisure and integration time as well as for teachings, exercises, meditations, dinners and perhaps some lunches. You are responsible for your accommodations off site.

Accommodations
You are responsible for your own accommodations. To further the group experience, we do suggest, but do not require, that retreat participants stay at the recommended near-by hotel(s). We require participants to obtain single occupancy accommodations (unless traveling as a couple) so that they rest, integrate and sleep in their own energy field. Single occupancy also prevents the need to quarantine if a roommate were to become ill.  We have a block of rooms reserved at a local hotel. You will receive info about that hotel so you can book a room upon registration.  Do not try booking online as the hotel will show sold out (it is sold out to Sacred Voyages).

Transportation
You are responsible to provide your own transportation to, from and on the retreat. You will need a vehicle to get to and from the Sacred Sites we venture out to.

Out of Communication
Plan to be out of communication with the modern world during the retreat. This means no cell phones, tablets, laptops, emails, texting, calling, internet surfing, video streaming, social media etc. This is a requirement that really helps to deepen our experience. Please plan accordingly. On a practical level, there are exceptions. For example, there are some people who have critical business or children to communicate with, or other contingencies. Please share if you have communication needs during the retreat on the “Retreat Participant Registration Form” (which will be provided to you once you give your deposit for the retreat). Once you arrive at the retreat, you will be advised on how you can connect while honoring the integrity of the Sacred Container. Notwithstanding the above, please keep your cell phone on you at all times (off or in airplane mode) in case of emergency.

Mental Health
Participants must be in good mental health and not experiencing a mental health crisis to attend the retreat. If you are in active treatment for a mental health condition, you agree to speak to your mental health professional before coming on the retreat. The retreat leader is not a mental health professional and no activities on the retreat are providing mental health services.

Alcohol & Drugs
We have nothing against teacher plants as they can be quite expansive for some people under the right circumstances, but we do not use them on our retreats. We require that you refrain from using “teacher plants”, recreational drugs & alcohol during the retreat. If you feel it’s important for you to imbibe please talk to the retreat leader in advance of the retreat. Please continue to take any prescriptions or over the counter drugs your doctor has prescribed or recommended, or that you feel you need to be safe and healthy. Please do not take any illegal substances.

Respecting Various Viewpoints
Please refrain from discussing the following on the retreat as we have found these divisive issues to be counter productive to our intent for the retreat:
  • Politics
  • Covid 19
  • Vaccines

Respecting Spiritual Teachings
On retreat, spiritual teachings based on many of the world’s wisdom traditions and modern spirituality will be shared. Some of these teachings may be familiar to you, some of them may be new to you. You may agree or disagree with any/all of them. By attending the retreat, you agree to display an attitude of tolerance and open-mindedness and not in any way interfere with the ability of other retreat participants to engage in the teachings.

Food Sensitivities and Allergies
We cannot guarantee our ability to meet your food sensitivity and allergy needs. If you have food sensitivities and we know in advance of your needs, our catering service will attempt to accommodate gluten-free, vegetarians and vegans. Please let us know at least 30 days in advance of any food requirements. You will be provided with a Food Survey form to fill out upon the confirmation of your retreat registration.) If you have enrolled in the retreat inside of 30 days then let us know immediately; this may not be enough notice to accommodate, but we will do our best. Often if you have lots of food sensitivities or allergies, or serious sensitivities or allergies, you may need to supplement our catering and food supply with your own. Ultimately, you are responsible to care for yourself to be sure you get the safe food you need. Please let us know how we can help.
